Housing & Community Development Program Manager - City of Vallejo, CA

The City of Vallejo is undergoing an exciting transformation and city leaders are dedicated to maximizing the vibrancy and health of the community, which includes a strong commitment to affordable housing. Reporting to the Assistant City Manager, this position will assume the lead role in Vallejo’s affordable housing initiatives.  Conveniently located midway between the cities of Sacramento and San Francisco, the City of Vallejo has a population of over 120,000 residents. The City attracts innovative, hardworking people and takes great pride in its 148-year history and maritime heritage.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate and persistent affordable housing professional known for being creative and solution-oriented. He/she will be well-versed in state and federal housing legislation and familiar with the unique challenges presented by California’s tight housing market. Five years of progressively responsible public housing experience, which includes at least one year of supervisory responsibilities, and a bachelor’s degree are required.

Salary range up to $145,033; salary supplemented by an attractive benefits package.  Closing date: Sunday, August 5, 2018.
