The City operates with 379 FTE and a FY 2022-23 General Fund budget of $91.53 million.
Reporting to the City Manager, the newly established HR Director position will oversee a team of eight and a FY 2022-23 budget of $1.9 million. With a well-rounded background in public sector HR, this collaborative business partner will renew focus on citywide projects that foster Walnut Creek’s positive and supportive culture. The HR Director will be an effective mentor and exhibit a city-first mindset while implementing changes that support leading-edge programs and a diverse workforce. Seven years of progressively responsible management experience including five years as a supervisor and a bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree and/or HR certifications desirable.
Current salary range up to $224,270 (under review) and is supplemented by an attractive benefits package. Hybrid work schedule available. Closes Sunday, August 14, 2022.
