Assistant Management Services Director - City of Burbank, CA

The City of Burbank is nestled between the Hollywood Hills and the Verdugo Mountains in the heart of Los Angeles County. This full-service municipality is supported by a workforce of over 1,400. With 46 FTEs and a $6.52 million FY 21-22 budget, Management Services is organized across three divisions, each overseen by an Assistant Director. This newly created position, charged with overseeing Labor Relations, will provide added resources and capacity to this critical area.

The ideal candidate will be a generalist with a solid foundation in public sector human resources. An organized self-starter, he/she will be a collaborative and innovative problem solver with a history building strong relationships and gaining cooperation in the best interest of the organization. Education and/or experience equivalent to five years of progressively responsible administrative, supervisory, and personnel management experience and a Bachelor’s degree is highly desirable. Employee/labor relations and contract negotiations experience preferred.

Salary range is $122,801 - $161,483 (currently under review) supplemented by a generous benefits package. Closing date: Sunday, December 12, 2021.
