Located in northern California, Contra Costa County covers approximately 733 square miles extending from the northeastern shore of San Francisco Bay east to San Joaquin County. The County is seeking a self-initiated individual considered an acknowledged specialist in economic development for the newly created Economic Development Manager position. Politically astute and intuitive, this Manager will be equally adept at developing strategic plans and delivering projects intended to boost the local economy. Persuasive communication skills and ability to present before a variety of audiences are also required. As an experienced collaborator, the successful candidate serves as the County's liaison to other agencies in the effort to advance economic development opportunities in the region. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience with at least 2 of those years as a manager.
Salary range is up to $132,775 annually, and supplemented by an attractive benefits package.
