With a population of 129,488, the City of Santa Clara is the center of Silicon Valley, just 45 miles south of San Francisco. The City of Santa Clara City Attorney’s Office is welcoming and collegial, providing services with a team-oriented approach. The City is excited to offer two opportunities, which may be filled at the Senior Deputy City Attorney (DCA) or Assistant City Attorney (ACA) level, depending on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
 
The ideal candidate will have a broad public law background, including ideally business and real estate, housing, and/or labor and employment law. While direct experience in these areas is preferred, individuals with a solid foundation in municipal law who demonstrate an interest and willingness to immerse themselves in these practice areas will also be strongly considered. Successful candidates will have at least six years of law experience at the ACA level or three years at the Senior DCA level, possess a JD degree, and maintain active membership in the State Bar of California.
 
Salary ranges: Senior Deputy City Attorney $165,219 - $213,826 and Assistant City Attorney $213,185 - $275,895. Both supplemented by attractive benefits. Closes: Sunday, December 1, 2024.
